LHH is looking to hire a Staff Accountant for a fully onsite role located in Schaumburg, IL. In this role you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the monthly closing procedures across all operational sites.
Beyond the close, you will meticulously review balance sheet accounts, offering invaluable support to management in resolving accounting matters and undertaking special projects as required.
Responsibilities :
Reconcile general ledger (GL) accounts and bank statements.
Prepare and post journal entries to the GL.
Manage general bookkeeping and monthly accounts payable processes.
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly sales tax returns and financial statements across multiple states.
Assist with inventory reconciliation.
Record accounts receivable (A / R), accounts payable (A / P), 1099-Misc reporting, and gather W9s and tax-exempt documentation from vendors and contractors.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Review job costs and receipts, ensuring accurate reflection of manufacturing costs and identifying any billable items.
Develop and review controls for data accumulation and reporting systems.
Prepare various journal entries including A / R adjustments, interest income entries, and other assigned accruals.
Maintain and update job budgets and perform job cost analysis.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s in Accounting / Finance or related field
2+ years relevant accounting experience
Manufacturing or construction industry is a plus
