This role is an excellentopportunity for individuals who excel in generating their ownprospects establishing strong networks and creating crediblelasting business relationships.
The idealcandidate should either possess a book of business that can betransitioned with them or have a solid business plan detailingexisting relationships centers of influence and targeted marketstrategies.
With a focus on meeting and exceeding annual revenuequotas this position is perfect for those who are adept atconsulting on business matters and closing their own deals in thecommercial insurance sector.
JobResponsibilities
- Independentlygenerate prospects establish credibility build strong relationshipsand develop pipelines.
- Consult on businessmatters and close own deals.
- Possess or developa business plan outlining existing relationships and target marketswith a minimum revenue threshold of $10000.
- Aimto achieve an annual quota of $100K in revenue with a minimumthreshold of $15000 in revenue from 1 MM inpremium.
- Manage a balance of 40% new businessand 25% renewal commission splits.
- Process ownaccords applications and participate in new businessplacement.
- Work collaboratively with AccountManagers for daily servicing of accounts remarketing to carriersand providing administrative support for renewals while ensuringfinal signature / bind policies.
Qualifications
- Minimumof 5 years of experience in commercial insurancesales.
- Demonstrated ability to generate andmanage a book of business.
- Strong networkingskills and established centers of influence within the GreaterPortland area.
- Proven track record of meetingor exceeding sales quotas and revenuethresholds.
- Proficiency in handling accordsapplications and new businessplacements.
- Excellent communication negotiationand relationshipbuilding skills.
- Selfmotivateddetailoriented and capable of workingindependently.
