You will make an impact in this role by supporting hiring supervisors recruit for critical positions in support of managing California's diverse fish, wildlife, and plant resources, and the habitats upon which they depend, for their ecological values and for their use and enjoyment by the public.
This position requires the ability to learn and retain information necessary to provide recruitment consultations to hiring supervisors and employees, review and approve Human Resources recruitment transactions including hiring above minimum, confirmation of minimum qualifications to determine eligibility for candidates, extensive review and analysis of justifications and other hiring paperwork, and to assist with developing recruitment plans.
We will provide the necessary training to ensure you are successful and have the opportunity to grow within CDFW and state service.
This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for applicants residing in California. The hybrid schedule is dependent based upon operational needs but is currently a minimum of two days in the office.
We’re located in the new state-of-the-art Natural Resources Building in downtown Sacramento, right next to Light Rail for an easy commute.

Working Conditions
This position works in a high-rise building when in-office and involves working on a computer / the ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day, i.
e., working at a computer most of the time. Attendance at virtual and in-person meetings and working groups as necessary is required.
This position is eligible for telework consistent with CDFW's current telework policy.
