Position : Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Reports to : Director of Student Programs
Supervises : Behavior Technician(s)
Qualifications :
- Master’s degree required or in progress.
- Hold or be eligible for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst certificate upon completion of graduate requirements.
- Three to five years experience as a BCBA (preferred).
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal : Provide students with the opportunity to achieve their potential through the use of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessments, interventions and supports.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Complete educational and / or behavioral assessments, including functional behavioral assessments (FBA).
- Design individual and classroom behavioral interventions and supports using ABA principles.
- Develop individual Behavior Intervention Support Plans (BISP) for students.
- Provide direct ABA support and interventions to students in 1 : 1 and group settings.
- Provide professional staff development to teachers and paras in the use of ABA principles.
- Provide leadership to teachers, paraprofessionals, behavior techs, and parents in the implementation of Behavior Intervention Support Plans (BISP).
- Train and supervise behavior techs in the implementation of BISPs.
- Complete and submit documents and consents in accordance with established timelines and state and federal regulation.
- Adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Employment Terms : Ten (10) month classified annual contract
