Position Summary :
Utilizing broad-based skills in basic patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices, aids providers in accordance with PNHS standard and policies.

We are open to filling this position with an LPN, MA, or EMT. Requirements for each are outlined below :
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) : Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained.
On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
Medical Assistant (MA) : Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained.
On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) : High school diploma or GED and current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained.
On-line BLS certification is not acceptable. Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current MN EMT License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Strong clinical and human relations skills are required. Basic computer / keyboarding / mouse skills required.
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
Can make autonomous decisions regarding patient care related issues and be able to make independent decisions based on scope of practice and protocols established with their physician.
Excellent interpersonal, listening, critical thinking and organizational skills. Team player that collaborates to achieve highest outcomes.
Proficient use of athletic training apparatus related to area of expertise. Safely and effectively operate the following : Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon specialty area), Personal Computer, Photocopier, Printer, FAX Machine, and Telephone.
Proficient in work processing, electronic medical records, PACS (radiology software), ECG, dynamap, defibrillator, and various Orthopedic and Sports Medicine tests / equipment / braces / splinting.
