Purpose of Position
This position provides immediate AOG / Critical materials support by coordinating logistic activity required to minimize aircraft flight delays and / or cancellations in a time sensitive and cost conscience environment.
This is a career level position requiring technical or business-related experience and / or education.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist and train Purchasing and Logistics Coordinators with day-to-day workload management.
- Coordinate and communicate aircraft parts, technical and logistics updates to Maintenance Control.
- Evaluate global inventory positions for component requirement fulfillment and evaluate "move vs. buy" decisions.
- Evaluate parts being procured to ensure compliance with all Federal regulations and Company policies regarding quality, documentation and traceability.
- Assess, prioritize and delegate AOG material request workload to Material Coordinators.
- Review and supervise compliance of all transactions identifying in detail originating requests, authorizations, source of supply, costs, shipping method etc.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Control Supervisor to identify AOG parts requirements and determines the best method of obtaining parts utilizing company inventories.
- Support the daily activities of the Operations Center by procuring components, equipment and supplies in a time critical aircraft operations environment.
- Identify and execute warranty claims with supplier partners.
- Utilize OEM Illustrated Parts Manuals to reference and resolve component identification and interchangeability issues.

- Preferred : Associate's degree in Aircraft Maintenance, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
