Job Title : Resident Assistant
Shift : 12 hours
Amaris Assisted Living Homes is seeking a compassionate and reliable Resident Assistant to join our team ! The ideal candidate will have 1 year of prior caregiving experience in a residential setting and will be QMAP certified.
Full Job Description
Resident Assistant Responsibilities :
Caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
Assisting residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
Aiding in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
Assisting with dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up
Observing and reporting changes in resident’s condition and status
Documenting client concerns and difficulties and reporting to supervisor
Scheduling doctor appointments as needed
Completing rounds on residents to assure safety and provide assistance as needed
Attending meetings / in-services / training sessions as required by Health Services Director and / or Executive Director
Communicating with residents, families, visitors, and employees in a positive manner using excellent communication skills
Representing the agency in a loyal manner
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Graduation from high school or successful G.E.D.
Verifiable work experience as a caregiver or CNA, preferably 1 year.
Skills and Abilities :
Ability to frequently sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch or crawl
Ability to frequently lift and / or move 50 pounds.
Ability to see and hear within normal parameters / ranges.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce
Ability to read and interpret technical instructions related to providing client care
Ability prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to client needs and schedule
