University Housing is seeking (1) Human Resources Coordinator to join the already awesome team taking the department to the next level of excellence!
Oversee and manage the Human Resource activity of a department include recruitment include recruitment, classification, staff development, and training, records management, employee relations, payroll, retirement, and performance evaluations.
The responsibility for this position includes assisting in the management of payroll and benefits budget (7 million). This position serves as the focal point for all human resources activities in University Housing related to Staff Selection, Recruitment, Hiring and Training, personnel action processing, staff and student hire forms, payroll, Off Cycle Payment, and Graduate Assistant Fall / Spring / Summer semester waivers.
This position also reviews Financial Reports for staff and student check payments and
reviews and updates salary and position funding reports.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
Budget Management, reporting, and analysis
Supervise the maintenance of departmental human resources activity records.
Prepare reports and maintain department data regarding diversity, turnover, and recruitment, and staffing positions and personnel.
Provide administrative support to the Associate Director, Business Services.
Assist in developing and preparing the human resource budget and develop future budget recommendation.
Audits payroll accounting records to ensure accuracy with hours worked. Maintain and monitor appropriate budgeting and expenditure controls and reconcile payroll with general ledger.
Payroll / Compensation
Complete termination paperwork.
Assist facilities and administrative office with temporary staffing needs and contact PantherTemps or working with and contracted Temporary Agency.
Enter stipend for Resident Assistant housing payment with student accounts, housing payment for staff residing in P3 buildings, and the meal plan stipends.
Resolves complaints / issues regarding payroll for fulltime staff.
Act as a backup for any supervisors that are unable to approve staff payroll.
Staff Human Resource Support / Assistance for Supporters
Advise supervisor on personnel related issues, consequences, policies, and procedures. Assist manager with performance issues and serve as a liaison between Housing and Human Resources to resolve problems.
Manage the 360-performance review process and procedures for staff including disciplinary actions. Consult with managers to ensure adherence to university policy and federal and state laws regarding human resources and risk management.
Review and coordinate position classification and / or compensation adjustments. Update HR position files.
Coordinate and participate in the recruitment activities of staff (student assist ants, graduate assistants, temporary staff, panther temps, and fulltime staff).
Review and coordinate the classification and posting / advertising positions onto Georgia State system.
Write employment ads and submit internet post to job boards and professional association website, sort and review resume and applications.
Schedule interviews and coordinate and submit all supporting documents for interviewed and selected candidates for approval.
Makes request for background and financial l checks.
Process reimbursement for travel related to interview process and or moving expenses. Enter invoices for payment.
Make sure that all email addresses are ready for the new employee start date.
Prepares paperwork required for new hires for software database access related to purchasing card, Banner, PantherMart, Peoplesoft, Accounting, etc
Staff Recognition Programs
Develop and implement ongoing recognition program for full time staff.
Implement recognition of staff birthdays and retirements.
Updates the employee phone directory and organization chart
Reporting :
The Human Resource Coordinator reports to the Associate Director for Business Services.

Qualifications
Minimum Hiring Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications :
- Master Degree in Human Resources
- Two years' experience working with Payroll
- One year experience working with payroll accounting
- Prior experience working in within University of Georgia Board of Regent system
- Prior experience work in Fund accounting
- Prior experience work with Peoplesoft / Oracle or Workday
