Under general supervision, the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer designs, develops, installs, and maintains industrial electrical and electronic control systems.
This role involves testing, calibrating, and repairing equipment, with a focus on enhancing plant control systems and ensuring reliable operations.

Primary Responsibilities :
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance on industrial electrical and electronic systems, including Vision systems.
- Develop and modify control programs, particularly for Allen Bradley PLCs, and troubleshoot remote terminal units.
- Install and repair electromechanical components, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Coordinate arc flash mitigation and handle high-voltage electrical sources safely.
- Design and modify motor control circuits, review project plans, and inspect for code compliance.
- Replace obsolete equipment, retrofit systems, and recommend new methods to improve operations.
- Supervise contractors and maintenance teams to complete project tasks and repairs.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 5+ years of experience in a heavy industrial work environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, motor control, VFDs, Vision systems, and industrial power distribution.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving, project planning, and communication skills.
