QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma
- Two (2) years of clerical experience
- Knowledge of typing, office machines, and computers
- Must be proficient with WORD, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
- Meets health and physical requirements
REPORTS TO
CTE Supervisor
JOB GOAL
To assist the CTE Supervisor in order that he / she may devote maximum attention to administering an effective CTE instructional program.
Responsible for accounting of all revenues and expenditures at the school level in accordance with state guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops, reviews, and evaluates promotional materials for the CTE program including social, print, and video media.
- Assists in the development of reports needed to support effective communication among CTE stakeholders.
- Assists in orchestrating CTE press events.
- Assists in identifying and pursuing partnerships supporting the implementation of CTE programs within the school system.
- Contributes expertise in the design and implementation of CTE programming in the school system.
- Maintains strong communication with local leaders from business, K-12, post-secondary, and nonprofits on CTE activities.
- Acts as the CTE receptionist and greets the public via telephone and in person with a pleasant attitude.
- Performs administrative and clerical duties pertaining to the administrative functions of the CTE office.
- Operates, maintains, and controls the use of the copy machines and office equipment pertaining to CTE.
- Orders, receives, and distributes supplies used in the CTE department and maintains all records pertaining to purchasing documentation.
- Works with the student management system to maintain accurate student information database related to CTE.
- Maintains accounting records for CTE staff.
- Receipts, deposits, disburses and records all monies received by CTE in accordance with the Tennessee Internal School Uniform Accounting Policy Manual.
- Keeps an accurate records from which a monthly balance and an annual audit can be made.
- Works with Business Operations and auditors to prepare financial records for annual audit.
- Maintains the confidentiality of reports, records, and personal experience of a private nature regarding students, school employees, and patrons.
- Attends various meetings to represent the CTE department.
- Performs inventory audits within the CTE department.
- Maintains knowledge of all safety rules and proper procedures for school and student population.
- Perform other school-related duties as assigned by the CTE Supervisor and / or Chief Academic Officer.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job may require lifting of objects that exceed 25 lbs. with frequent lifting and / or carrying of objects weighing up to ten lbs.
