This individual leads a team of licensed advisors in the achievement of optimal productivity and performance. Key responsibilities include executing sales goals, growing employee sponsored plan assets, building relationships with school districts and colleges, and implementing operational procedures to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities Recruit advisors to maintain full staffing for budgeted productivity and performance goals Onboard new hires Collaborate with broker dealers Develop and execute a business plan to meet goals, utilizing sales coaching, sales ideas, and a training plan Provide technical assistance and training on technology systems or products Educate staff on compliance regulations and ensure operational procedures are implemented Set goals and objectives for staff, hold them accountable for meeting goals and compliance requirements Coach, guide, and mentor staff who are not meeting expectation Responsible for growing the (b) plan assets and sales revenue from broker dealer investments or insurance products Cultivate relationships with school districts, third party administrators, recordkeepers, and broker dealers Manage contract renewals with plan sponsors Approve requests for sponsorships Maintain approved agent lists and respond to requests for proposals Ensure retirement plans are in accordance with plan documents Execute projects directly or indirectly related to the program Participate in management team meetings and corporate or department projects Provide strategic ideas for program improvements and growth opportunities Conduct regular meetings with school district personnel to educate and promote awareness of program capabilities and value proposition Foster a positive and engaging work environment for each team member by promoting skills development, coaching for improvement and growth, inspiring others with words and actions, and ensuring positive employee morale Build a strong team by treating others with respect and dignity, cultivating professionalism, promoting open and honest communication between staff and management Uphold Suncoast Credit Union’s mission, vision and core values Ensure members of the team are actively involved with the development of annual production plans so they can conduct meetings or trainings with their assigned schools and branches Collaborate with broker dealer compliance to ensure business practices are in line with applicable securities rules and regulations Review program reports for accuracy, anomalies, trends Develop and implement new reports or tracking procedures to proactively seek effective ways to monitor the program, enhance staff productivity and efficiency to ensure an exceptional member service experience Ensure program policies, guidelines, and procedures are documented and approved by the appropriate parties Prepare and conduct presentations at regularly held staff meetings to communicate updates, compliance items, operational items, policy guideline or procedural changes Schedule appropriate trainings and solicit feedback to encourage two-way communication between staff and management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or insurance (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements) 7+ years of experience with employer sponsored plans, investments, or within the insurance industry 3+ years of direct supervisory or management experience FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 (or 66) required Florida 2-14 or 2-15 insurance required Financial industry advanced designation or certification preferred Experience with financial planning, sales, processes, products, and coaching the development of staff Strong knowledge and understanding of employer sponsored plans and securities industry Strong recruiting capability Strong organization, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage areas of responsibility and attain goals Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality Ability to exercise logical reasoning and independent discretion in all areas of responsibility Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
