We invite applicationsfor a Open Rank, Open Track position in Midwifery . UNM Obstetrics and Gynecology’s MidwiferyDivision has a busy clinical practice and is active in education.
The position will manage women's health care, focusing particularly on pregnancy, childbirth,the postpartum period, care of the newborn, and the family planning andgynecologic needs of women.
Theposition will practice within the health care system and perform consultation,collaborative management, or referral, as indicated by the health status of theclient.
The position will practice in accord with the Standards for thePractice of Midwifery, as defined by the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
The candidate hired will be expected toparticipate in the education and training of student nurse midwives and otheradvanced practice providers, medical students, residents, and fellows in theclinical setting.
Classroom education ofthese learners may also be a possibility. A demonstrated commitment to diversity,equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diversecommunities.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Master’s degree (MSN)
- Participation in the Certificate Maintenance Program with the American Midwifery Certification Board (or eligible).
- CNM license with New Mexico Department of Health (or eligible). RN license with New Mexico Board of Nursing (or eligible).
- RN license with New Mexico Board of Nursing, State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification, and federal DEA registration (or eligible)
Preferred Requirements :
- Experience teaching adult learners
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
- Interest in participating in clinical research
- At least one year clinical experience working in academic medical center
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
