Preferred Qualifications Position Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to work closely with UGA faculty and contract instructors to manage the development and delivery of a profitable custom corporate executive education portfolio that meets or exceeds client expectations while increasing revenue annually.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and / or Competencies

  • A record of significant program and management experience in executive or other consultative service focused business, developing high level contacts, closing new business, and managing on-going client relationships
  • Strong ability to manage multiple constituencies against the backdrop of changing priorities and complex projects
  • Previous experience and a demonstrated record of success working with C-suite and other senior leaders of major corporations
  • Previous experience in strategic planning, evaluation and development issues surrounding corporate programs
  • Ability to establish and cultivate collaborative relationships among a diverse range of constituencies, including external communities and a strong interest and experience in developing business opportunities
  • Self-motivated and confident with sound judgment and highly effective diplomatic and communication skills
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of, or strong demonstrated interest in, executive development, instructional design, management learning, program design, delivery, and evaluation

  • Manage the program creation process between potential or selected faculty or contract instructors incorporating client needs, tracking content creation progress with proven communication and project management tools and processes
  • Facilitate recruitment, compliance (for USG faculty), and compensation design
  • Coordinate faculty involvement in the custom program assessment and design process
  • Facilitate custom content customization process with client input and faculty participation in connection calls, ensuring faculty support and client satisfaction
  • Review all content prior to presentation to ensure quality, relevance, and client needs are covered
  • Prepare, inform, and coach faculty for the custom teaching experience
  • Lead integration and coordination of sales calls and program design meetings that involve faculty
  • Provide feedback to faculty following each engagement to support continuous improvement
  • Build relationships across the faculty and with external organizations
  • Host annual staff recruitment event on main campus, oversee deployment of faculty newsletter two times per year, establish annual Executive Education faculty award
  • Supervise and coordinate activities with Associate Director of Learning Solutions, Terry Business Office and Payroll to ensure faculty compensation is processed in a timely manner and in accordance with USG policy

Percentage of time Duties / Responsibilities Custom client relationship management :

  • Conduct consultative work with organizational clients to assist them in assessing their organizational and educational needs, then translate needs to faculty
  • Lead and / or participate in corporate senior management meetings, visits, presentations, and / or negotiations as needed
  • Lead program design workshops and evaluation discussions for meaningful review of content effectiveness
  • Nurture long-term relationships with clients following their initial programs

Percentage of time Duties / Responsibilities Custom program execution :

  • Review program budgets and manage execution of budget to meet profit expectations, with a focus on faculty compensation costs and associated materials expenses for learning sessions
  • Lead the custom program evaluation process and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Serve as on-site program lead, introducing faculty and facilitate program flow. When preferred by client, create learning threads and debrief modules for program components
  • Supervise the assigned program managers during activities related to program planning and delivery for custom corporate programs, ensuring alignment with client expectations

Percentage of time Duties / Responsibilities Support business development and sales :

  • Partner with Director of Business Development to drive business which may include proposal creation
  • Meet revenue targets for repeat business on an annual basis
  • Develop and / or collaborate with the sales team in the presentation of custom proposals to clients and respond to client questions as needed
  • Research and understand market trends and business challenges
  • Review business publications regularly to remain informed and anticipate the needs of corporate clients
  • Follow up with custom program alumni for additional and repeat custom business

  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending UNICON organization conferences, ATD meetings, etc.
  • Identify and implement new learning methods including virtual and blended and expand reach of live instruction to other markets
