Join the Navy Nuclear Laboratory team as an Engineer at the Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) located on the Idaho National Laboratory (INL).
The new Shipping Containers Conversion Engineering Unit has an opportunity for an experienced engineer! You will be part of a team that will be engineering the process and equipment to replace the internals of M-140 shipping containers.
You will be interfacing with groups such as other engineering units throughout NNL, operations personnel, project management personnel, and shipyard personnel.
The primary responsibilities are to develop the engineering controls (radiological, environmental, safety and industrial hygiene), new equipment, and work procedures necessary to complete the project.
This may include project specific radiological support equipment, and decontamination activities. Provide engineering support during project execution to ensure compliance with engineered work products, including any updates or changes needed for work execution procedures.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience;
- orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience;
or Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; orSRE qualified.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in writing work procedures.
- Experience with a production support organization.
- Eagerness to be trained to learn new skills as needed.

Pay Range
$76,400.00 - $117,000.00 annually
