Position Focus :

The Student Services Coordinator (SSC) will provide high-level financial and administrative support with excellent customer service to numerous and diverse customers in a fast-paced environment.

This role will support students as a frontline touchpoint when they come to the Yale Law School’s Office of Student Affairs suite seeking information and resources.

Additionally, the position will triage and troubleshoot issues as they arise, and they will keep OSA staff informed of questions and necessary follow-up to best support the community.

The SSC will oversee student-facing financial tasks including PCard purchases and clearing, invoice payments, coffee cards, etc.

This role is responsible for office supply ordering and supports operations systems for an organized and cohesive space.

Internally, the SSC will participate fully in and contribute to office projects and departmental meetings, as well as collaborate with the YLS OSA team and support with events, as needed.

The position may perform other duties as assigned and will report to the Director of Student Affairs.

Essential Duties

1. Provides advice and information to students on short and long-term educational and career goals and on available University resources such as financial aid, fellowships, career services and educational programs.

2. Coordinates and oversees a range of processes and programs in such areas as admissions, financial aid, registration, placement, and career services.

3. Adapts and implements new policies and processes regarding specific areas of specialty; develops, recommends and implements solutions and corrections to policies and processes.

4. Assists in designing, recommending and implementing computer programs and systems for admissions, registration, career services, and financial aid.

5. Processes financial and other transactions, track data, generate and analyze reports. 6. Assists in the design and development of student publications, communications and program web sites.

7. Ensures all student services and student support functions conform to University policies and guidelines. 8. Monitors, maintains, and ensures accuracy of student records;

monitor and track status of students. 9. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education;

or four years of related work experience and an Associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
