Objective of the Position : This position is designed to ensure proper receipt of deliveries and accurate processing of shipments.
Additionally, the Clerk is to work with the accounting department to ensure timely payments to suppliers and proof of delivery to our customers.
Essential Accountabilities :
Shipping Responsibilities :
- Sends accurate and timely ASNs.
- Schedules customer shipments based on customer directives to distribute as needed to internal and external teams.
- Creates scheduled pick-up sheets for customer shipments.
- Creates accurate shipment paperwork necessary for customers and locations, including shippers, BOL, and customs.
- Creates labels for shipments per customer requirements.
- Monitors truck log to ensure accurate window times.
- Coordinates with other shipping representatives to ensure timely call in of trucks.
- Troubleshoots and corrects errors on shippers / invoices to ensure that inventory and billing are correct.
- Creates and processes RMA’s.
Receiving Responsibilities :
- Receive, inspect, and sign for all material and packages coming into the building.
- Match the parts received to the packing slip and PO.
- Verify the part numbers on the PO match the part numbers on the packing slip.
- Process the PO on the computer using SAP.
- Process Customer Returns using SAP.
- Make sure the parts and bin boxes are in the proper order with labels, and it is easy to read the part numbers.
- Work with the planners on parts that are running low and need to be ordered, and in order to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Work with daily cycle counters to reconcile receipt issues.
Requirement Profile :
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience :
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one-year related experience and / or training in manufacturing setting, preferably in materials.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and a strong knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Familiar with both the UPS and FedEx system a plus
- Must have an understanding of the parts that are being received.
- Professional demeanor and cooperative attitude
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and responsible
