Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong sense of duty. Communicates technical concepts clearly to a diverse range of stakeholders who have varying degrees of technical acumen. Experience as a software application developer is a plus. In addition to either of the education / experience classifications above, Microsoft SQL certification, or similar certification, is a plus. Work Environment : This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and printers are utilized. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal. Location : Tria Health is located at 1729 Grand Boulevard, Kansas City, MO (Crossroads area). This is not a remote job, but a hybrid schedule can be offered after training. Hours : 40-hour workweek, Monday – Friday not a fully remote position. The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for monitoring, tuning, and maintaining our Microsoft SQL Server database. The DBA will provide significant contributions in helping Tria Health improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and further enable strategic initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Monitor the performance and security of Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Tune databases to ensure efficient operation and response times.
- Optimize existing data queries and stored procedures.
- Assist with building and maintaining Tria’s data warehouse.
- Create, manage, and optimize indexes to improve query performance.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery plans for databases.
- Collaborate with the Software Development team on DBMS selection and establish best practices for usage.
- Provide training and resources for the Development team on SQL Server optimization techniques.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks including updates and patches.
- Analyze and resolve complex database-related issues.
- Research and integrate new DBA tooling where applicable and cost-effective.
- Collaborates with fellow IT team members to isolate and resolve technical issues, but also skilled enough to identify, research, and resolve technical issues independently – all in a timely manner.
