Vehicle Engineering (VE) is part of Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT), a division of Volvo Group North America, provide state-of-the-art research, engineering, product planning and project execution to final delivery of complete products and support of the products in the aftermarket. What You will be doing

As a Software Engineer Co-op, you will gain hands-on experience in software development and contribute to real-world projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in object-oriented programming and cloud computing, along with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles, including dependency injection and inheritance, to enhance software design.
• Collaborate with the team to implement and manage source control using Git, including pull-request workflows.
• Participate in the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions using Azure pipelines and services.
• Write clean, testable, scalable code using .NET programming languages

Who You Are

You are a Computer Science student that is prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of engineering (or mechanical, electrical, software, design, production, etc.). As a valued member of the engineering team within GTT, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the engineers in the department. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
