Position Summary : The Pharmacy Tech, plays a crucial role in supporting pharmacist to ensure the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications.

Position Requirements

Education : High School Degree or GED required.

Licensure : N / A

Certification : Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification required.

Experience : 2+ years of experience working as a part of a pharmacy team is preferred.

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Understanding drug names, dosages, and pharmacy operations is fundamental.
• Competence in organizing inventory, monitoring medication supplies, and notifying pharmacist of shortages.
• Effectively interacting with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and patients to collect necessary information and provide clear instructions.
• Managing multiple tasks efficiently, such as preparing medications, processing insurance claims and maintaining accurate records.
• Responding effectively to changing workloads and emergency situations.
• Working cohesively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.

Essential Job Functions

Assists the department with purchasing and inventory maintenance of pharmaceuticals.

Physical requirements : This position is classified as Light Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly (66% of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work.

Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
