Job Overview
Empire Electric Maintenance is seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Project Manager to oversee multiple commercial, residential, and government electrical projects from pre-construction to closeout. This is a full-time, hybrid position designed for a driven individual who thrives in managing complex installations, navigating vendor negotiations, and identifying change orders before they happen. If you\'re a hands-on former electrician turned project leader who understands the field and can speak the language of both clients and crews, this is your next great opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple electrical projects simultaneously from planning to completion
- Conduct on-site job walk-throughs and coordinate preconstruction meetings
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment
- Handle submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
- Monitor and manage project schedules, budgets, and performance benchmarks
- Write detailed scopes of work and collaborate with clients and internal teams
- Identify and estimate potential change orders proactively
- Collaborate with estimators for pricing, submitting, and tracking changes
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes, OSHA standards, and company policies
- Assist field crews when needed and maintain quality control across job sites
- Seek out new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager or in a similar leadership roleAssociate\'s degree preferred or equivalent field experienceDeep understanding of industrial and commercial electrical systemsProven experience with electrical projects up to $1 millionFamiliarity with construction documentation and cost control practicesStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to interpret blueprints, perform material take-offs, and write proposalsField installation background is highly preferredExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesMust be a self-starter with a solution-focused mindsetBenefits
