Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Leesburg, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter incidents and promote a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and professionalism will provide reassurance, while your exceptional customer service and communication skills will support positive interactions. This role is ideal for those who thrive in dynamic settings and are committed to putting people first, acting with integrity, and working collaboratively to deliver outstanding service.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 05 : 50 AM - 06 : 00 PMTue 05 : 50 AM - 06 : 00 PMSun 05 : 50 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment while providing excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, or other urgent events.
  • Perform regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to provide a visible security-related presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
  • Provide assistance to patients, visitors, and staff as needed, including helping with wayfinding or escorting individuals when appropriate.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities thoroughly and promptly according to Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and / or medical personnel when required by the situation.
  • Follow all Allied Universal training, licensing, and compliance requirements relevant to armed security-related responsibilities in healthcare settings.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
