Job Details

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Representing clients in court and before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
  • Selecting jurors, arguing motions, meeting with judges, and questioning witnesses during the course of a trial.
  • Studying and interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  • Preparing legal briefs and opinions, and filing appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
  • Negotiating settlements of civil disputes.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis of law sources such as statutes, legal articles, and legal codes to prepare case accordingly.
  • Advising clients concerning business transactions, claim liabilities, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.

    • Qualifications

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in the state.
  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, including trial experience.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
