Job Title : Manager, Facilities and Fleet
The Manager, Facilities and Fleet will be responsible for facilities and fleet management operations for Metropolitan Council Environmental Services. They will be responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance, improvement and compliance programs related to the continuous operation of ES treatment facilities, buildings, and grounds located in Ramsey, Dakota, and Scott counties and a fleet comprised of 250+ ES-owned vehicles. In addition, the person in this role will be responsible for effective management and utilization of resources including staff. This position requires travel to different work facilities that are not accessible by public transportation.

What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications) :
Experience should include utilizing work, asset, or fleet management system(s). Supervisory / management experience should include direct supervision providing work direction, performance management, coaching, counseling, and discipline. License : Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Work is regularly performed in a normal office environment but may require occasional outdoor work with exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Work requires occasional local in-state travel by car to visit different facilities. May occasionally travel by air out of state for training and conferences. Work is occasionally performed near moving parts or equipment, in high, precarious places and wet, humid conditions. Position is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and occasionally to toxic or caustic chemicals. There is occasional exposure to vibrations and risk of electrical shock. Position is regularly exposed to moderate noise.
