Overview

Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) role at Galaxy ABA Therapy in Richmond, VA. We are hiring Behavior Technicians (BTs) to join our team. If you are compassionate, motivated, and eager to learn, we'd love to meet you.

This range is provided by Galaxy ABA Therapy. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$23.00 / hr - $25.00 / hr

Job details

  • Job Type : Part-time
  • Pay : $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
  • Work Location : In person
  • Schedule : Monday–Friday (Weekends as needed)
  • Travel : Up to 25% within the Richmond area

What you'll do as a Behavior Technician

  • Work one-on-one with children in home, school, or community settings
  • Implement skill-building and behavior-reduction plans designed by a BCBA
  • Use play-based, child-led approaches to make therapy fun and engaging
  • Collect data on client progress and complete session documentation
  • Collaborate with supervisors, parents, and team members
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment

    • What we're looking for

  • High school diploma (required); Associate's or Bachelor's in Psychology, Education, or related field (preferred)
  • Completion of 40-hour RBT training (or willingness to complete before starting, provided by Galaxy ABA)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to engage in active play, lift up to 40 lbs, and ensure client safety
  • Ability to pass background checks (FBI, CPS, State of VA) and provide CPR, HIPAA, and TB clearance (support provided)
  • Prior ABA, childcare, or behavioral health experience is a plus—but training is provided for the right candidate
