The Legal Assistant for Litigation Budget Preparation will be responsible for preparing litigation budgets in compliance with client billing / carrier guidelines. This is a position best suited for a legal professional (i.e., Paralegal or Legal Assistant) with strong analytical skills and an understanding of insurance defense litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with attorneys to develop and maintain litigation budgets for the General Liability, Construction Defect, and Appellate practice groups.
• Ensure matter budgets and accruals comply with client and insurance carrier billing guidelines.
• Liaise with clients and carriers regarding financial projections, status updates, and billing audits.

Salary Description

$80,000 - $100,000

Physical Requirements

Primarily sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and / or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances, and / or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. Work can be performed with or without accommodations.
