Job Title : Contract Staff Accountant

Location : Grandville, MI

Schedule : Part-Time (25–30 hours per week)

Duration : Contract

Pay : $25-32 / hr

Overview :

A manufacturing company in Grandville, MI is seeking a part-time Contract Staff Accountant to join its team. This role will work closely with the Controller to support daily accounting activities and play a key role in month-end close tasks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a manufacutring / production / shop environment.

Responsibilities :

• Assist the Controller with month-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of postings
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Track and report on manufacturing-related expenses and variances
• Provide support for audits and special projects as assigned
• Help streamline and improve accounting processes in a small team environment
