ACCOUNTANT II (Hybrid)

Job Summary :
Participates in the preparation of the monthly financial statements for Calvert Health System and subsidiaries.
Education :
Position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related academic focus or 5-7 years equivalent combination of education and experience in related area.

Experience :
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a financial setting with solid general accounting experience required. Experience with hospital, medical practice, and / or managed care accounting preferred. Must have experience working in and implementation of financial computer systems and applications, preferably for a corporation with revenues more than 10 million.
Other Requirements :
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and / or any other department requirements.
Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements to include Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effective written and oral communications to promote a positive work atmosphere.
Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work. Must take initiative and be a self-starter.
Effective problem-solving and analytical skills to discover discrepancies and to install best practices.
