job_description.job_card.job_descriptionConduct educational presentations to medical professionals, social workers, and community groups about treatment options and recovery resources Represent Oasis Treatment at healthcare conferences, community events, and professional networking functions Develop and distribute educational materials that support informed referral decisions Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure accurate program information is communicated Identify underserved markets and develop strategies to expand our service reach Analyze referral patterns and market data to identify growth opportunities Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted outreach campaigns Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting behavioral healthcare Maintain regular communication with existing referral partners to strengthen relationships Provide timely updates on patient progress to referring professionals (within HIPAA guidelines) Address concerns and resolve issues to maintain strong partnership satisfaction Build trust through transparent communication and consistent follow-through Minimum 3-5 years of experience in healthcare business development, preferably in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, or mental health services Proven track record in developing referral networks and strategic partnerships Understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and ethical marketing practices Experience working with insurance verification and authorization processes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to connect with diverse stakeholders Strong understanding of the healthcare continuum and referral processes Ability to explain complex treatment modalities in accessible terms Proficiency in CRM systems and data management Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or related field Professional certifications in addiction counseling or healthcare administration Established relationships within the regional healthcare community Experience with value-based care models and outcome measurement Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse communities Development of sustainable referral partnerships that align with our mission Quality of relationships with referral sources as measured by satisfaction surveys Contribution to helping individuals access appropriate care Compliance with all ethical and regulatory guidelines Collaboration effectiveness with internal clinical and admissions teams Always prioritize patient welfare and appropriate level of care over volume metrics Maintain strict compliance with all federal and state regulations Respect the clinical judgment of referring professionals Ensure all communications are truthful and non-misleading Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements at all times
Oasis Treatment is an integrated behavioral health organization offering trauma-informed care for individuals experiencing substance use disorder, mental health challenges, and co-occurring needs. With multiple locations across Oregon, we provide accessible, culturally responsive care through high-intensity outpatient (HIOP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient, psychiatric services, peer mentoring, and access to recovery housing. We prioritize individualized treatment, measurable outcomes, and compassionate support for every patient we serve.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join Oasis Treatment's growth team. This role focuses on expanding our reach and developing strategic referral partnerships within the healthcare community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare sales and marketing, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with referral sources while maintaining the highest ethical standards in behavioral healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development
- Build and maintain relationships with key referral sources including healthcare providers, hospitals, therapists, and community organizations
- Develop strategic partnerships with insurance providers and employee assistance programs (EAPs)
- Educate referral partners about our treatment programs, services, and clinical capabilities
- Serve as a liaison between referral sources and our clinical team to ensure smooth admissions processes
