Job Description
STV is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer for the Construction Management Program in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities include :
- Providing electrical design work, coordinating with in-house staff and task order engineers.
- Reviewing construction drawings for compliance with District standards and electrical codes.
- Supporting construction administration for ongoing projects.
- Preparing electrical estimates and reports to assist in project funding.
- Defining electrical scope with Design Managers.
- Participating in virtual DSA backcheck appointments.
- Visiting school sites to assess as-built conditions when drawings are unavailable or incorrect.
- Resolving electrical issues during construction with subject matter experts.
- Coordinating with engineers and service providers for power upgrades, providing guidance and approval.
- Assisting Asset Management in clarifying and approving electrical scopes for modernization projects.
- Updating District design guides based on new code requirements and standards.
- Researching code changes and identifying implementation methods.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Experience :
At least three (3) years of full-time professional electrical design experience in a public agency, school construction, or large commercial projects.Valid California Professional Electrical Engineer registration.Required Education :
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized college or university.Compensation Range : $98,010.59 - $130,680.78
