a highly motivated manufacturing engineer to develop assembly processes and high-volume automation equipment with the High Voltage Distribution team in Sparks, NV. The manufacturing engineer will
optimize
designs for manufacturability, streamline production processes, develop automation solutions for assembly,
CNC
bend
ing,
laser and ultrasonic
welding
, fastening, and test, and support production transition from low to high volume. The manufacturing engineer thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of vehicle manufacturing.
What You'll Do
Provide design-for-manufacturing feedback to shape next-generation high volume products
Develop new highly automated manufacturing lines from concept to production
Generate machine specifications, process documentation, manufacturing instructions, and validation plans
Drive equipment and process optimization to increase yield, throughput, and availability while reducing cost and lead-time
Manage installation, qualification and ramp-up of manufacturing equipment
Collaborate with production engineering, EH&S, ergonomics, quality, operations, facilities engineering and design
What You'll Bring
Automation equipment design and development experience
Manufacturing process specification and evaluation experience
Manufacturing data analysis skills
Proficiency
in CAD software (SolidWorks, Catia, or AutoCAD preferred)
achelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience
