ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)

  • Receive, unpack, verify, record, label and distribute incoming shipments of WIP, raw materials and items tied directly to a job; inspect for accuracy and damage.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by ensuring accurate counts, proper labeling, packaging and documentation.
  • Move raw materials, WIP and any items tied directly to a job between work centers, staging areas and vendor locations.
  • Identify inventory items and allow inventory control specialist group to inventory and manage product.
  • Adhere to safe manufacturing and material handling practices, including LEAN and 6S initiatives.
  • Operate forklifts or other industrial equipment to move materials and ensure timely delivery to work centers.
  • Maintain accurate records using computer systems and manage related clerical tasks.
  • Coordinate material flow across departments and communicate discrepancies or needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members, demonstrate strong time management, and support a clean, organized work environment.
  • Perform duties indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Support additional production needs as assigned.

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education : high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Experience : one – three years of relevant experience, ideally in shipping / receiving and ERP systems like Syteline / CSI.
  • Proficient with Windows-based computer systems.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Capable of reading and understanding sales orders, inventory records, and shipping / receiving documents.

    • LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position does not have leadership responsibilities.

    This position does not have travel requirements.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Strong attendance, work ethic, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and solving problems.
  • Familiar with 6S, FIFO, and sound inventory / material flow practices.
  • Solid math and analytical abilities.
