Job Summary
The Residential Hvac Installer is responsible for installing Hvac systems and components for residential customers. This includes furnaces, air conditioning units, ductwork, thermostats, and related equipment. The ideal candidate should be able to read and interpret blueprints, ensure system functionality, and deliver a clean, timely, and professional installation with attention to detail and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in accordance with company standards and local building codes
- Install ductwork, refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and thermostats
- Perform start-up, testing, and commissioning of newly installed systems
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds code requirements and company quality standards
- Communicate with customers regarding installation progress, system operation, and maintenance tips
- Complete all necessary documentation including job completion forms, installation checklists, and customer sign-offs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment including tools, truck, and job site
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in required safety training
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other trades as needed
- Stay up to date on industry standards and manufacturer guidelines
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required5+ years of experience in residential Hvac installation preferredEpa Certification required (Type II or Universal)Valid driver's license with clean driving recordAbility to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and installation manualsStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailExcellent customer service and communication skillsMust be able to pass a background check and drug screenNate certification a plusPhysical Requirements
