A healthcare professional licensed as an RN (BSN or ASN) or LPN with pediatric nursing experience is needed to provide dedicated 1 : 1 nursing care in a K-12 school setting located in Clearwater, FL. These roles require hands-on clinical support for students with specialized medical needs, including gastrostomy tubes (G-tube), tracheostomies, and epilepsy management. The position is contract-based for the current school year (CSY) and demands onsite attendance during school hours with commitment to daily student support.

Key Qualifications And Experience

Active Florida RN (BSN or ASN) or LPN licensure with current CPR certification

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably including pediatric or school nursing

Proficient in caring for students with complex medical needs such as G-tubes, tracheostomies, and seizure disorders

Comfortable providing 1 : 1 nursing care and accompanying students during daily transportation routines (bus or car rider)

Able to complete required HCPS and AHCA background clearances and fingerprinting (cost covered by the nurse)

Schedule

Elementary school nurses : Hours typically between 7 : 00 AM 3 : 00 PM, with some variation depending on student transportation specifics

High school nurse : Hours approximately 8 : 40 AM 3 : 40 PM

Maximum 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities

Deliver personalized nursing care to assigned student on a 1 : 1 basis during the school day

Monitor and manage medical devices such as G-tubes and tracheostomies, and respond to medical emergencies as needed

Coordinate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to maintain comprehensive care plans

Ensure student safety during transportation, including bus rides or car arrivals / departures

Maintain accurate documentation consistent with school district policies and regulatory guidelines
