Position Summary
Sam’s Club aims to turn replenishment into a predictive engine that keeps shelves full, costs low, and experiences effortless. The Director of Experience Strategy – Replenishment will drive the transformation of replenishment and product placement systems to create seamless, efficient, and intelligent experiences for associates, suppliers, and internal business partners. This role focuses on designing end-to-end replenishment experiences that reduce friction, anticipate needs, and leverage emerging technologies such as AI and agentive systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and business value.
What you’ll do
- Reimagine Replenishment Journeys – Within 6 months, design a unified replenishment experience strategy that improves decision-making, reduces inefficiencies, and optimizes product availability.
- Integrate AI & Intelligent Systems – Partner with business, product and engineering to pilot agentive tools that streamline ordering, forecasting, and product placement decisions. Deliver at least one AI-driven replenishment initiative in the first year.
- Lead Cross-Functional Squads – Facilitate squads that connect business, design, and product to solve critical B2B challenges. Establish measurable outcomes tied to improve in-stock performance, supplier efficiency, and cost savings.
- Future-Focused Innovation – Develop a replenishment blueprint that looks 2–3 years ahead, showing how advanced systems and intelligent agents will shape the future of supply chain experience.
- Measure Outcomes – Define KPIs for system usability, error reduction, and efficiency gains; continuously iterate based on data and feedback.
What you’ll bring
Proven track record in B2B, Enterprise, SAAS, operational, or supply chain design systems.Proven ability to design complex workflows and simplify associate / supplier interactions.Exposure to AI / agentive technologies with a focus on systems automation and decision support.Strong design thinking facilitation skills to align diverse technical and business stakeholders.Experience integrating research insights into product roadmaps and operational workflows.Leadership skills to mentor teams and drive large-scale transformation initiatives.Expert in driving stellar design execution with cohesive and connected experiences to ensure we deliver our experience principles to meet user needs and business goals.Minimum Qualifications

Option 1 : Bachelor’s degree in UI / UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 6 years’ experience in UI / UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.Option 2 : 8 years’ experience in UI / UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.3 years’ supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications
Design certification (for example, IDEO U Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate) or equivalent.Driving product development in a user experience area; Master’s degree in UI / UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area (preferred).Related industry experience (retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare).UI / UX, Interactive and Visual Design, Electronics Art, Multimedia Design, or related area.Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA; accessibility best practices and Walmart’s accessibility standards.Primary Location
