Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$139,400.00 - $230,000.00

What Is the Opportunity?

As a Senior Architect- Domain Driven Experience supporting Personal Insurance, you will collaborate with technology and business leaders and apply your knowledge of modern technology to influence and innovate solutions that impact the business. In this role we will look to you to :

Be results-driven with strong architecture and engineering skills, and expertise in Cloud-native, APIs, and Event-driven architecture, with a focus on domain-driven design principles.

Be a person of high integrity, who believes in challenging the status quo when needed, while always first seeking to understand and be curious.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in User Experience technologies and domain architecture patterns, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, domain experts, and other team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that bridges business domains with technical implementation.

What Will You Do?

Modernize Travelers Agent, Employee and Customer facing interactions. This could be in the context of User Interfaces (UIs) and Content & Communications (Documents) based communications.

Influence and set direction working across multiple domains and teams both within Personal Insurance as well as across other lines.

Work with the Senior leadership within Technology and Business to develop architecture priorities and direction to enable business imperatives.

Display strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principals and technology modernization.

Drive continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt

Create a partnership with Senior Software Engineering.

Seek opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterprise.

Define and lead technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions.

Hands-on prototyping of new technology solutions.

Partner with Software Engineering to execute proof of technologies.

Define target state technology architecture and roadmaps.

Ensure alignment of IT initiatives with the target state.

Builds strong partnership with engineering to ensure proper alignment of skills with technology direction.

Prepares and delivers comprehensive communications to convey architectural direction and how it aligns with enterprise strategy.

Optimizes talent strategy to ensure proper mix of resources and attracts and recruits best talent.

Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

Bachelor’s in technology related field or equivalent with 5+ years of technology Architecture experience.

Expert knowledge of domain modeling, API design patterns, and event-driven architectures will be key to success in this role.

Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to the changing technology and business ecosystem are critical.

Working knowledge of UI frameworks such as React, Angular etc. is preferred.

Prior experience working with Content & Communications solutions such as Quadient is a plus.

Experience implementing composable domain services and middle tier integration patterns that can serve multiple user populations and handle heavy volume.

Knowledge of domain-driven design principles and prior experience working with languages like Java, C#, Node.js etc. Preferred.

Experience with large-scale domain architecture platforms and cloud data technologies.

Deep experience with AWS, API contract design, domain accelerators, and DevSecOps.

Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong cloud architecture experience with focus on domain boundaries and integration.

Experience developing domain-aligned technology roadmaps that support business goals.

Experience in technology modernization, including domain-oriented microservices, cloud-native migration and API strategy.

Good understanding of security architecture within domain contexts.

Experience in agile operating models, domain-driven development, and insurance technology.

What is a Must Have?

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.

Six years of experience in enterprise, application, and / or information architecture within a line of business or enterprise area
