Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead critical projects for an 18-month contract in the insurance / reinsurance space. You will manage cross-functional teams, drive project delivery, and ensure alignment with business objectives. The role requires hands-on expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, software development processes, and IT project tools. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where strong technical and communication skills are essential.&

Key Responsibilities :

Lead projects from planning to execution across an 18-month contract period

Develop project plans, timelines, and maintain backlogs, user stories, and task boards

Coordinate effectively with workstream leads, business owners, and cross-functional teams including data analysts and engineers

Communicate updates, risks, and project status to stakeholders and senior management

Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans

Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and changes, ensuring proper documentation and approvals

Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with business objectives

Conduct evaluations to identify successes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement

Must-Have Skills :

10+ years of IT project management experience

Reinsurance domain experience strongly preferred

Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Understanding of software development processes, data management principles, and IT tools

Knowledge of Azure fundamentals

Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO)

Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
