Job Summary : The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for managing and growing sales within a defined territory by acting as a strategic partner to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders. This role serves as a primary point of contact for technical sales of Dodge products and solutions, driving volume growth and capturing new business opportunities through field engagement and relationship development. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and customer focus to identify and convert opportunities, support channel partners, and build long-term relationships in the power transmission industry.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with company objectives. Identify new business opportunities and support conversions to Dodge products through plant surveys and customer interaction. Achieve year-over-year sales growth by increasing volume and expanding into new accounts.
Build strong relationships with distributor partners and end users. Conduct regular branch and customer site visits to maintain visibility and support local sales efforts. Serve as a trusted advisor and technical resource to customers.
Provide product recommendations and interchange solutions based on plant surveys and application analysis. Collaborate with product marketing, engineering, and inside sales teams to support customer needs. Communicate product advantages and ensure customer satisfaction through consultative selling.
Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and other Sales Engineers to share best practices and align efforts. Develop and execute joint business plans with key distributor and customer contacts. Engage with cross-functional teams to leverage resources and close strategic opportunities.
Submit accurate sales reports and expense documentation in a timely manner. Use Salesforce, Power BI, and other tools to track performance, forecast opportunities, and analyze sales trends.
