Payroll Manager - FT - Days - MSS at Memorial Healthcare System
Location : Miramar, Florida
Summary : Manages the daily operations of the payroll department and all payroll processing activities. Responsible for processing payroll following established procedures and adhering to regulations and policies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for keeping business systems and applications current by ensuring that updates and testing are completed by collaborating with IT.
- Monitors the payroll department budget, regulatory compliance, and physician contracts for payroll purposes.
- Determines and justifies needs for systems / equipment / supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and / or stock supplies.
- Establishes, monitors and reports on staff performance metrics.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
- Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
- Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching and mentoring to staff.
- Completes performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Determines, coordinates and supervises daily operations of the department including staff assignments.
- Runs full payroll cycle and ensures that documentation is kept up to date.
- Stays current with regulatory compliance, including payroll and tax compliance.
- Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives of the payroll department which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Supports special projects and business analysis as requested.
- Responsible for ensuring W2 submission is timely, complete and accepted by the IRS.
- Responsible for the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
