Senior Paralegal – Family Law Client

Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Paralegal to support attorneys by handling various administrative and substantive legal tasks. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of their legal operations, with responsibilities spanning a broad range of legal support duties within a family law setting.
Responsibilities
- Enter data into the client's databases for conflict checks and customer relationship management software
- Work independently and manage tasks autonomously
- Assist with deposition preparation
- Complete discovery (propounding and responding)
- Manage and track deadlines, hearings, and appointments on legal calendars
- Organize, redact, bates stamp, and combine voluminous digital files
- Prepare and manage documents for e-filing and internal organization
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, documents, voicemails, and shared files
- Draft correspondence, emails, pleadings, disclosures, and judicial council forms
- Handle records processing, including e-filing, service, preparation of proofs of service, bate-stamping, redacting, and inventorying
- Support trial preparation including creation of trial binders and document duplication
- Maintain and update attorney calendars, assist in preparing for and confirming appointments and appearances
- Meet minimum billing requirements
- Scan, copy, organize, title, and save documents accurately
- Retrieve and deliver documents for attorneys and staff as needed
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys across various tasks
Qualifications
Paralegal Certificate or ability to qualify as a legal assistant per California Business & Professions CodeMinimum of 5 years of experience in a family law firm settingProficiency in MS Office 365 (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)Experience with Smokeball, Adobe Pro, ShareFile, and Ring Central is a plusAbility to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, photocopier, postage machine, scanner)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExceptional organizational and time management abilitiesCapable of working independently and as part of a teamProfessional demeanor and appearanceAbility to lift up to 50 lbsSelf-motivated, well-organized, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasksTeam-oriented with a positive and flexible attitudeDependable, responsible, and detail-focused
