How will you make an impact?

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing manufacturing processes to meet production requirements of quality and quantity at the lowest possible cost. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Production, Quality Control, Purchasing, Engineering Services, Safety, and other departments to achieve these goals. This site specializes in electronics manufacturing and requires expertise in electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for new product introduction (NPI) including time studies, equipment selection, line balance data, tooling specifications, manpower requirements, and all aspects of process development
• Develops methods of operation to increase efficiency and reduce costs by studying product designs, materials, machines, and workflow
• Designs and develops fixtures, jigs, and tools to facilitate efficient assembly or processing of products
• Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and practices relating to quality, safety, ergonomics, etc.
• Establishes production schedules based on production requirements and resources available
• Works closely with Operations Management to resolve issues related to throughput, quality, and plant operations
• Maintain accurate records and reports of activities such as labor utilization, machine performance, production levels, defective rates, etc.
• Provide assistance in maintaining ISO certification
• Assist with electrical applications such as troubleshooting electrical wiring and testing of motors and control devices
• Work safely around moving parts, electrical installations, hot surfaces, and sharp objects
