Overview
Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department is accepting applications for at least one permanent – full-time appointment to the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) classification for Pharmacy and is under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Performs work of average difficulty in a wide variety of consultative and analytical staff services assignments such as program evaluation and planning, systems development, budgeting, planning, training, management, and personnel analysis; and other related work.
- Creates purchase requisitions for Pharmacy Department Non-drug procurements and drug procurements that do not fall under the contractual agreement with the prime vendor (vaccines and drug shortages).
- Ensures compliance with purchase requisition documents with all state, Department of General Services (DGS), and Department of State Hospitals (DSH) contracting policies and procedures.
- Researches, analyzes, prepares, and submits Small / Micro Business documents; obtains, retains, verifies, researches, elevates, and distributes all Vendor Data Records (STD 204), Sellers Permits, Delinquent Tax Debts (both Federal and State), and all other documents necessary to complete and properly file documentation.
- Consults and coordinates with Procurement staff and vendors (including contractors) to ensure all required state documents are complete, accurate, and current.
- Evaluates and prepares reports on the usage patterns of Pharmacy supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels and to make recommendations for Pharmacy Management.
- Monitors the Pharmaceutical Hazardous Waste process by ensuring that all hazardous waste items located in the pharmacy are properly labeled and logged in compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations. Reports concerns or discrepancies to the Pharmacist and works with the Medical Hazardous Waste coordinator to reconcile monthly manifests.
- Writes or assists Procurement in the writing of contracts for contracted services.
- Documents actions, prepares reports, and makes recommendations for the Pharmacy Services Manager.
