Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time teaching opportunity is available for a Teacher of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students to serve K-12 students in an itinerant role across seven intermediate schools in Dallas, TX. This contract position spans the current school year with an immediate start date, beginning June 11, 2026. The position requires onsite work only, with no remote service delivery.
Key responsibilities include providing pull-out services tailored to the needs of DHH students, training students on assistive equipment, advocating for student needs, ensuring acmodations are implemented by classroom teachers, and participating in ARDs (Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings) and evaluations. Additionally, this role involves full-time coverage during a maternity leave from November through March at an elementary campus focused on DHH support.
