Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students is needed in Arlington, TX, to serve K-12 students across seven intermediate schools on an itinerant basis. This contract position spans the current school year with an immediate start date available.
Responsibilities include providing pull-out services to DHH students, training them on assistive equipment, advocating for student needs, enforcing classroom acmodations with teachers, and participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and evaluations (EVALs). This role requires onsite presence only, as no remote services can be provided.
Additionally, there is an opportunity for full-time maternity leave coverage from November through March at an elementary campus specializing in DHH services.
