Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position is available for an experienced professional specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education, serving students across seven intermediate schools. This itinerant role requires dedication to supporting K-12 students in a prehensive, contract-based assignment through the current school year.
Responsibilities include providing pull-out services tailored to individual student needs, training students to use their hearing equipment effectively, advocating for their needs within the school environment, and ensuring acmodations are properly enforced through collaboration with teachers. Participation in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and conducting evaluations are also essential duties of this role.
The position will be onsite full-time, starting as soon as possible, with a confirmed mencement date of June 11, 2026. Note that vocational services are not part of the responsibilities for this role. Additionally, there is an opportunity to cover a full-time maternity leave from November to March at an elementary campus focusing on DHH students.
