Legal Administrative Assistant

Key Responsibilities :
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals.
- Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents including correspondence, memoranda, briefs, motions, pleadings, and filings.
- Handle e-filing with state and federal courts; stay current on filing rules and procedures.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, depositions, and conference calls; send calendar invites and reminders.
- Maintain and organize client files and case materials, both electronically and in hard copy.
- Prepare new matter forms, conflict checks, and engagement letters.
- Assist with billing, time entry, and expense reimbursement processes.
- Communicate professionally with clients, outside counsel, and internal staff.
- Track case deadlines, update attorneys, and coordinate with the docketing team as needed.
- Assist with document production, witness binders, and subpoenas.
- Provide backup coverage and general administrative support as required.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in a law firm or professional services environment.Litigation experience is required (state and / or federal).Strong knowledge of e-filing, docketing, and legal calendaring systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; experience with litigation calendaring software required (any system).Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree or equivalent work experience accepted.Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.Strong written and verbal communication; professional and composed demeanor.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Must be reliable, proactive, and able to prioritize multiple deadlines.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
