Position Overview
We are seeking a Content Designer to develop immersive simulations that reflect real-world workplace dynamics. The ideal candidate is a quick learner excited to support the development of high‑quality, science‑backed simulations that drive impact for participants and customers. The role is detail‑oriented, enjoys working closely with others, asks questions, and is receptive to feedback while bringing a diverse perspective. It is reported to the Senior Research Scientist and offers a fully remote, full‑time, salaried position with an annual salary range of $65,000‑$70,000.
Responsibilities
- Design live and on‑demand simulations in alignment with Mursion’s science‑backed approach, crafting authentic storylines and conversations that reflect real‑world workplace dynamics and support essential skill practice.
- Author participant‑ and client‑facing materials that prepare participants for practice and equip clients with clear, accessible descriptions of simulations.
- Learn and apply Mursion’s skills framework to design simulations that authentically reflect targeted behaviors and desired outcomes.
- Participate in, lead scenario testing, feedback, and evaluation.
- Draft scoring criteria for scenarios that enable valid and reliable AI assessment of simulation performance, delivering actionable feedback to participants and insights to customers.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to define and refine scenario‑specific design specifications.
- Create training materials for live simulations, ensuring Simulation Specialists are prepared to deliver scenarios accurately, authentically, and consistently.
- Lead training sessions for Simulation Specialists.
- Test, iterate on, modify, and refine Mursion simulations.
- Analyze data and feedback to maintain, improve, and update simulations.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in content development (learning design, skill development) and / or creative storytelling (screenwriting, video games, character‑driven narratives).Background in psychology, behavioral economics, scripted improv, and / or research methods preferred but not required.Strong writing and copyediting skills.Technical curiosity and comfort working with and learning about AI tools, scenario‑building technology, data analysis, etc.Ability to work both cross‑functionally and independently; excellent communication and collaboration skills.Effectively builds relationships and trust with colleagues within the team and across the organization.Demonstrated strengths in attention to detail, curiosity, adaptability, perspective taking, and collaboration, producing quality content in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.Strong project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Our Values
