Job Overview
United Water Restoration Group of North Florida is seeking an experienced and organized Construction Estimator to oversee restoration projects from inception through completion. Based in our Orlando office, this dual-role position ensures projects are scoped accurately, executed on time, and meet company standards for quality and client satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines field oversight, communication, financial tracking, and customer interaction—all critical to driving successful outcomes in a fast-paced restoration environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Inspections — Conduct initial inspections and document damage; capture new leads and secure signed contracts.
- Project Planning & Execution — Develop scopes of work and detailed work orders using Xactimate; conduct site visits to support field team execution and ensure quality standards; perform mold remediation site clearance walkthroughs to prepare for PRV testing; complete final walkthroughs to ensure full project closeout readiness.
- Communication & Reporting — Provide daily updates via email on project progress and schedule changes; communicate technician performance and timeline adherence to Branch Manager.
- Quality Assurance — Audit final project files and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Team Support & Field Collaboration — Assist technicians and estimators with scope-related questions; participate in on-call rotation for emergency service needs.
- Financial Oversight — Monitor project budgets and assist in collection efforts to ensure financial success.
- Culture & Leadership — Maintain a collaborative relationship with technicians and uphold core technician duties as needed; promote a positive work culture and lead by example.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in restoration, construction, or project managementProficient in Xactimate for scoping and estimating workStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to create detailed scopes of work and work ordersSelf-starter with a flexible schedule, including availability for after-hours and weekend workAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standardsNo formal education or certifications required—but field experience is essentialBenefits
