Position Title : Benefits Manager
Position Summary :
The Benefits Manager serves as a strategic leader and subject matter expert in the design and delivery of employee benefit programs at Silver Cross. This role brings innovative thinking and a contemporary approach to attract and retain top talent, positioning Silver Cross as an employer of choice. The Benefits Manager partners with internal teams and external vendors to shape and continuously improve a comprehensive benefits strategy that supports employee well-being and organizational success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Design and manage competitive benefits, retirement, and leave programs aligned with Silver Cross's strategic goals.
- Oversee the administration of all health and welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, and retirement plans.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on benefit policies and processes.
- Lead benefits communications, education, and engagement strategies to maximize employee understanding and value.
- Monitor regulatory changes and workforce trends to ensure compliance and relevance of benefit offerings.
- Manage annual benefits renewals, including vendor coordination, analysis, and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and audit requirements; consult with brokers, legal counsel, and compliance partners as needed.
- Evaluate program effectiveness, vendor performance, and cost efficiency to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with HR team to promote and champion benefits across the organization.
- Partner with Workday Business Analyst to define business requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers, consultants, and industry peers to stay informed on best practices.
- Analyze benefits spend and budget performance; identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with Finance, Compliance, and external partners to ensure program integrity and alignment with organizational standards.
- Manage benefit programs specifically designed for Physicians, Senior Leaders and Executives, including 409a, executive insurance, disability insurance among others.
Required Qualifications :
8+ years of experience in Benefits Management, including 4+ years in a leadership roleExpert knowledge of federal and state laws related to health, welfare, retirement, and leave programsStrong managerial and leadership capabilitiesProven ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholdersSkilled in preparing and delivering executive-level presentationsExperience leading large-scale change initiatives and program implementationsStrong project management, planning, and analytical skillsIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWorkday experience strongly preferredSilver Cross Hospital and Silver Cross Medical Groups offer a comprehensive benefit package available for Full-time and Part-Time employees which includes :
