Your Role

This role will reside within Global CS Engineering Organization, as a control and coordination role to establish standard processes and to ensure best practices across global CS teams; ensuring all requirements for Functional Safety are met and aligned with the customer expectations.

• Communication with company management to support the establishment of the mandatory safety culture (ISO26262 : 2018, part 2, functional safety as corporate philosophy)
• Representation on global functional safety management corporate level
• Provision of valid standards and company-specific application guidelines, main focus on process (not technical) aspects
• Consolidating processes, best practices for proper global alignment
• Internal auditing of organizational units to determine degree of adherence to internal and external FSM related regulations
• Updating and further development of corporate functional safety processes, integration of requirements from ISO 26262 in product development process (PDP) in alignment with regional functional safety managers
• Provision of training standards and guidelines
• Provide guidance on escalated Functional Safety Topics, and escalate safety items to global program management director and global vice president of engineering
• Verification that process tailoring is correctly performed and is acceptable
• Definition of project responsibilities for entire system and detailed responsibilities (if necessary, delegation or grouping of activities)
• Ensuring that Assessments and Audits of Functional Safety (scheduling, timing, organization) are performed by regional organizations
• Application of measures for the avoidance of systematic non-conformities
• All safety-relevant internal and external interfaces (e.g. with customers, suppliers and other business units)
• Cooperation with Quality Management in the various development phases with respect to process / project / product
• Managing Functional Safety team members assigned as direct reports
