Overview
USC Athletics is looking to hire a Director of Photography to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals. This role is responsible for leading our photography team, shooting live events, managing photoshoots, maintaining our photo archive and contributing to our overall creative team. Additional requirements include a mastery of action and still photography, leadership capabilities and a digital design skillset. Reporting directly to the Chief Creative Officer, the Director of Photography will work in collaboration with the creative department as well as marketing, development, administration and the individual sports programs. The ideal candidate will possess a master of photography, possess an independent creative vision, be able to see a project through from conception to execution and have a flexible skillset that includes photography, video and design as well as an understanding of the software needed to succeed in those mediums. Knowledge of and experience working in higher education preferred. Understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes preferred.

This is an exempt position with work expected to include weekends, nights and travel, but the hours are flexible.

Salary
The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 – $115,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education / training, key skills, internal peer alignment, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
